The Cabin Class is an independent publication about premium train travel. We answer one question, over and over, for one train after another: is it worth it? That means real fares, real cabin layouts, and honest comparisons between the trains an operator would rather you didn’t line up side by side.

How we work
Our research starts with operators’ own fare documents, deck plans, and conditions of carriage, and is checked before publishing. Where we’ve ridden the train, the article says so; where we’re working from documents and traveler reports, it says that too. We use AI tools in research and drafting; every published piece is reviewed and signed off by the named editor. Coverage is never for sale — see our disclosures.
